CISSIOD OFFERS LTB (Last Time Buy) for HIGH TEMPERATURE SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICES Our wafer fab foundry X-FAB recently notified us that they will discontinue the XI10 process by March 2025. This process has been running for many years and is now getting replaced by more recent technologies. As you may know, most of the CISSOID High Temperature products, rated up to 175°C or 225°C, are using X-FAB’s XI10 process. This decision is creating a major disruption of our supply chain as there is no equivalent on the market to the XI10 process.

CISSOID DELIVERS FIRST
AEROSPACE SiC POWER MODULE TO THALES
CISSOID, the leader in high-temperature and extended lifetime semiconductor solutions, announces the delivery of the first prototypes of a 3-phase 1200V/100A SiC MOSFET Intelligent Power Modules (IPM) to Thales Avionics Electrical Systems. This module, developed with the support of Clean Sky Joint Undertaking, will help increasing power converters density, by decreasing weight and size, for power generation and electromechanical actuators in More-Electrical Aircrafts.
This IPM offers an optimal integration of the gate driver with power transistors together in order to take advantage of the full benefits of Silicon Carbide (SiC), i.e. low switching losses and high operating temperature. Leveraging on HADES2® Isolated Gate Driver that incorporates years of development in driving SiC transistors, it combines advanced packaging technologies enabling a reliable operation of power modules in extreme conditions.

VPG Foil Resistors Launches (VFR) Ultra-High-Precision Wraparound Resistors With Gold-Plated Terminals for High-Temperature Applications to +225 °C. Optimized for down-hole drilling, oil and gas exploration, and avionics, military, and space (AMS) applications, the resistors released today offer a resistance range from 10 Ω to 125 kΩ, with any conceivable ohmic value within this range — to six digits — available with no additional cost or lead time effect. Available in six case sizes from 0603 to 2512, the devices provide working power to 750 mW at +70 °C and 300 mW at +200 °C.
